あらすじ

脚本家を目指すルイは海外に行っている映画監督の恋人アツシの帰りを待っている。スカイプ越しに会話を交わす2人は新しい生活への計画に胸を躍らせる。一方、メイコは精神疾患によって舞台俳優の活動を離れカフェで働いていた。そこへ急に兄のマコトがやってくるが…。

人生の岐路に立つ女性2人が織りなすささやかな物語。

Rui is writing a screenplay for her filmmaker boyfriend. As she patiently waits for his return, she develops profound uncertainties about herself, her love and her work. Meiko has suspended her acting career because of depression and now works at a cafe. One day, Meiko’s brother pays her a visit bearing the news that their father has started to show signs of dementia. Set in Honmoku, Yokohama which was requisitioned by the US military after WWII, the neighbourhood shows no trace of its history. Forgotten as it is, two women suffer “irresistible oblivion” and “nowhere-ness” in modern Japan.
